Today was Traditions! It was essentially our orientation for being Disney Cast Members. It was a 4-hour ordeal, but still had it's points of entertainment. We got our ID cards, name tags, and our ears! After Traditions, our group went to Magic Kingdom and closed the park after conquering Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, the new Seven Dwarves Mine Train, and the people-mover.
Today was another relaxing day. My roommates and I played FIFA for a bit before going to a social for professional interns. We met people from all over the country in various departments, which was a neat experience. We got a few last minute things from the store and had a movie night with our group of interns.
Today was a relaxing day. I finished unpacking and made a few trips to Publix and Target for apartment supplies and food with my roommates Nick, Jon, and Scott before going to dinner at 4Rivers for dinner with another group of PIs (professional interns) and went to Downtown Disney afterwards. It was a calm day but we are excited for Disney Traditions on Saturday!
[gallery type="rectangular" ids="1111,1128"] It's official! I'm here in Orlando for my internship with the Walt Disney Company. I stayed at a hotel last night and woke at the crack of dawn for my housing check-in before heading over to my new apartment in Falcon Square. Afterwards, I moved in and unpacked and went to my check-in for casting, which was my first experience into the Culture. :) I went shopping with two of my three my roommates and finished setting up my room (pictures to be uploaded). We cooked a pasta dinner together, hung out, and watched a bit of House of Cards before turning in for the night. We have a few days to relax before Traditions and orientation. Can't wait to start! :)
